Carrollton, Oh.: Carroll Co-Tolson (TSO)- Granny's Restaurant: Granny's has some
of the best food for the most reasonable prices. Their pies are baked on-site.
Their breakfasts are excellent. The restaurant is only 200 yds. away from
the strip and offers a nice view. Carroll County-TSO reputedly has the
lowest fuel prices in the state! Gets busy on the weekends, both the restaurant
and the strip. It is very rural and very GOOD !! (This one gets two tongues
up!)
New Philadelphia, Oh.: Clever (PHD)
- The Hanger: This restaurant has really good steaks. The food is
always excellent. This place is a more of a dress up place than your normal
burger hangout. Not so dressy that you would feel uncomfortable in a nice
pair of jeans and a dress shirt. It's a great place to take a date. It
also has breakfast. A little more pricey than Granny's. (At this one PHD
stands for Piled Higher and Deeper, well worth the money!)
Mt. Victory, Oh.: Elliot's Landing (074)
- The Carriage Inn: Great weekend buffets (more than one). The food
is excellent. The atmosphere is casual. Also good during the week. It is
fairly new, the runway is grass and it is bumpy so take it slow. Good home
style cooking!
Urbana, Oh.: Grimes Field (I74)
- The Airport Cafe: This one has pasted the Cheeseburger and Pie
Test! Nice 50's style restaurant with a great view of the field. Bring
the wife or girlfriend (but not both!). It can get busy on the weekends.
(This one gets a definite two tongues up!)
Bluffton, Oh.: (5G7)
- Denny's Restaurant: What else can I say. It's a Denny's (self-explanatory),
but it's close to the airport, just walk across the street.
